Brrr it is really cold in winter in the Hills :)

Busy Week this week...

what is new!

We are kicking along here quite nicely, started the week with playgroup, but Evan's friend Harry couldn't make it so we called in to Cathie's for a cuppa in the morning, then came home to stoke the fire and settle in for the afternoon.

Tuesday bought kindergym into our lives again and whilst the kids just had a fantastic time as usual playing with Daisy, Layla, Oscar and Angus, all the mummies were absolutely frozen by the end! So we headed off to Jo's for a lovely warm cuppa or two and some yummy cake and home made pizza (thanks Jo) and again home to start up the fire and settle in for some ABC kids and cooking. My meeting at the Aldgate Pump was cancelled which was a bit of a relief as it was absolutely freezing, so I thought I might do a big kitchen clean up but alas we ran out of gas and therefore hot water!

Wednesday we headed to Bec's for Walking group for the week, and Jo, Christine, Gwendalyn, Bec and I braved the freezing cold to attempt a walk, unfortunately the wintery weather shut us down very quickly and some very wet but giggling people scuttled back to Bec's as quickly as possible for more warm tea and "scoffins"... thanks Bec :) The afternoon saw me head off to a staff meeting at OVRC whilst Jo generously minded Evan and Hannah for a couple of hours. It was great to have the opportunity to see some of the other staff who work @ OVRC and to hear what changes have been happening around the care home.

Today Evan had his third week as a big pre-entry boy at kindy and he happily waved Hannah and I off with a "bye Mum" and ran off to find something and someone to play with. We collected him at 12 and he was cheery and looking forward to his daily honey sandwich :) hard to believe in only 9 weeks time he will be off to kindy 3 days a week and on the road to becoming a big school boy!

Well that is it for this week...

kx

except for cute pics I took of them tonight after their bath :)
