That was a long time ago

Wow I hadn't realised how long it had been since I last wrote a blog post!
How everyone is well and had a lovely Christmas holiday ♥
Just getting ready for this years sewing and crochet and loving the look of my to do list.
I am finishing off my first lap sized hand quilted project ( a schnibble I pieced last year) cutting out a few more hexies for my "one day I will sew it together" civil war fabric hexie quilt and enjoying all the inspiration on  instagram ♥♥♥

Swoon Top Finish

I did it and I couldn't be more proud of my efforts. I actually finished the giant Swoon quilt top! I took a super human effort for me to finish this project off because I felt so overwhelmed by its size (2m x2m!) and how special it was to become for me... hopefully I can manage to get a photo loaded so you can appreciate my Swoony - efforts....

Sunday Morning how do I love thee...

Trip to the car club cancelled - yey!
Going out anywhere cancelled!
Sewing room here I come ) I think I migh try to make a humbug bag as seen on Sue's blog or attempt to make some pj's for me and the kids, or maybe finish the dress I started a few weeks ago at Sew Much Fun or maybe I will just hang around with the kids ...and my lovely husband...

Finish ! Mug bag :)

After my lovely weekend, a chunk of which I spent sewing with Sue, I decided last night to make myself a mug bag to take my favourite (new!) coffee mug around in. Thanks to Sue's clever work I was easily able to copy a pattern and reproduce it at home. I swapped the wadding and lining for some felt to make it speedier (and faster) and voilà here it is 😊!
